    1. You're welcome, Yam. :) Yes, the sun has been shining all day and I'm about to go with a friend along the coast to the Episcopal Eucharist at Kinlochbervie. That should be quite a drive in this weather.

  5. Happy Easter Perpetua. Have just woken from a two-hour nap. We had a lovely happy and joyful Easter service at St M's but the choir is on its knees X

    2. LOL! Ray. I'm glad you had such a joyful Easter Day. I certainly did, though there wasn't time for it to include any naps.

  6. Happy Easter Perpetua! It is definitely Spring here in Texas. Everything is either green, budding, or blooming. I love it! Of course we'll get our share of spring storms, but hopefully they will bring the needed rain without too much damage. Have a wonderful Spring!!

    1. Thanks, Rian. I hope you had a happy Easter Day too. I'm glad to hear spring has definitely sprung in Texas. It's been slow to arrive in the UK after a very chilly few months and almost all the trees are still leafless. But they will come if we're patient...

  11. My apologies Perpetua, for not commenting until now, on your most recent posts during Holy Week & Easter. As I'm sure you are aware, those of us in full-time ministry are somewhat busy during this period ;-) I'm glad you've had a wonderful Easter though I presume it was typo in your earlier reply about travelling 340 miles to attend an Episcopal Eucharist. I presume you meant 40 miles! On Easter Day I did a round trip of about 250 miles, in order to celebrate in Brno as well as in Prague.

Like other commenters, I hope you'll post a few photos of the area around your Scottish abode. I've never got quite that far north in Scotland & previous photos tempt me to plan to travel there some day.

    1. Now it's my turn to apologise for taking so long to reply to your comment, Ricky. I somehow missed it. Yes, I had a lovely Easter and it was indeed a typo in my previous comment. The journey to make my Easter communion was a mere 48 miles each way. :-) Mind you, on these roads that is a journey of at least an hour and a half each way...

I will indeed be posting more photos and have a post almost ready to go, once I've sorted through the photos I want to use. It's this dratted family history that has been getting in the way. ;)
